Squoosh: The image optimization web app now has a desktop version

I discovered Squoosh some time ago by the recommendation of a friend. The tool resulted really useful to me to do image optimization and cropping so I decided to work in a multiplatform (Linux, Windows, Mac) desktop version capable of work 100% offline. I made this desktop version based on Electron, a great framework to build cross-platform desktop apps based on web technologies and Electron Builder for the tasks related to the compilation for each platform.

All of this is possible because Squoosh is an open source product made by the Google Chrome Labs. The desktop version I’m releasing is also an open source project and anyone can contribute to make it better in the project’s repo.
